The Boating Education Center, Inc. (BEC) will offer programs for boaters and non-boaters alike. Some programs will lead to required certification; others will explore boating related topics just to increase appreciation. All courses developed specifically for the Center will employ extensive multi-media support materials and presentational showmanship, blending information and entertainment. Non-BEC course presenters will have the opportunity to develop support materials in cooperation with the BEC. The BEC will foster the cooperative interchange of information by the various organizations electing to offer courses here, bringing the boating/boating education community closer together.
